Elyria Pioneers Varsity took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly at the end of the game to topple North Olmsted. The game was tied at five with Elyria Pioneers Varsity batting in the bottom of the eighth when Kevin Reddinger’s sac fly scored one run for Elyria Pioneers Varsity. In the first inning, North Olmsted got their offense started. A Rahm singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
In the top of the seventh inning, North Olmsted tied things up at five. Elyria Pioneers Varsity tallied three runs in the third inning. Zach Schuster had an RBI single in the inning to lead the run scoring. Gage Barbee pitched Elyria Pioneers Varsity to victory. He surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, striking out four and walking zero. M Olah took the loss for North Olmsted. He allowed four hits and three runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Cameron Brubaker started the game for Elyria Pioneers Varsity. He went six innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out eight. D Stanley started the game for North Olmsted. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out ten and walking one. Reddinger led Elyria Pioneers Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Rahm went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead North Olmsted in hits. North Olmsted tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. S Elbin led the way with two.
