Elyria Pioneers Varsity Nabs Win Over Avon Despite Early 3-Run Inning

Even though Elyria Pioneers Varsity gave up three runs in the sixth inning, they still defeated Avon 4-3 on Tuesday. A Torbent and Dykin each had RBIs in the big inning.

Elyria Pioneers Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Jessica Chapman’s sac fly scored one run for Elyria Pioneers Varsity.

Izzy St. Peter was credited with the victory for Elyria Pioneers Varsity. She allowed three hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six.

J Dean took the loss for Avon. She went six and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on 12 hits, striking out one and walking zero.

Elyria Pioneers Varsity socked one home run on the day. Damia Parks had a homer in the first inning.

Elyria Pioneers Varsity tallied 12 hits in the game. St. Peter, Parks, Madison Olszewski, and Adrian Petrisko all managed multiple hits for Elyria Pioneers Varsity. Maycee Godbolt had the most chances in the field with eight.
